President: Elena Theodorou Koza
Elena holds the position of Marketing and Purchasing Director of a family business the Costas Theodorou group of companies. They are distributors, importers, retailers and wholesalers of the best known brands in leather and travel goods, (Samsonite, America Tourister, Rimowa, The Bridge, etc. She is also executive director of Bon Voyage Ltd, and Cth Marines distributors and retailers of Camel Active men’s wear, shoes and leather goods, and children’s wear (Original Marines). She has a Diploma of the Institute of Marketing and is a Member of the British Business Graduates Society and holds a Postgraduate degree from Buckinghamshire in International Export Marketing.
Vice-President: Marianna Vrahimi
Marianna is Director of Public Relations at the family owned AF Modinos & SA Vrahimis, Chartered Architects and Engineering Company. She has a degree in Political Science and following her studies in South Africa, joined the Foreign Service. She has more than 30 years’ experience in Public and International Relations having worked with the BBC, the South African Embassy and the Embassy of Israel. In her current post she is responsible for her company’s PR for some of the largest infrastructure projects on the island.
Vice-President: Mary Avraamidou
Mary studied medicine in Germany. She is a General Practitioner, holder of MRCGP int. and has a Masters in Management of Health Units and since 1991 she works as a government doctor. Her current position is at the main offices of the Medical and Public Health Services at the Ministry of Health and she is involved in the major health reforms, as the lead of the restructuring of primary health care in Cyprus. She is also the Registrar of the Cyprus Medical Council and member of the board of the Cyprus Association of General practitioners. Mary also heads the Cervical Cancer Awareness Committee.
Secretary: Emilia Constantinou
Emilia currently holds a Managerial position at Scordis, Papapetrou & Co (Corporate Services) Ltd, heading a portfolio of clients, in relation to accounting, consulting, tax and other corporate related issues. She previously held a Senior Manager position at K. Treppides & Co Ltd, where she was involved in client consulting matters for a decade, such as external audit, internal audit, insolvency solutions and Fund Administration. Emilia obtained a BA (Hons) in Public Business and Business Administration from the University of Cyprus. She is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAC). She specialises in providing consultancy services to clients in Cyprus and other jurisdictions, such as accounting, audit, tax, IFRS and insolvency solutions.
Treasurer: Maro Ioannou
Maro is a Partner of Chap Structural Double Glazing Ltd and currently holds the position of accountant and financial controller of the company.
Athena attended Lambrakis’ English private school and joined Cyprus Airways as an airhostess for 6 years. Later she became an officer in the Commercial Department, and held the position of Capacity Control/Schedules Support Officer at the Product and Revenue Management department. She recently retired after 37 years with Cyprus Airways.
Skevi is a graduate of Pitman’s Secretarial School in London U.K. She worked in U.K. for a brief period with JP Overseas. On returning to Cyprus, she took up employment with the accounting and auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers Cyprus in the public relations department of the firm and at a later stage as part of a team providing direct support to the CEO of the firm. She is now retired.
Anna has a background in French and Economics with International Business and is the Marketing Manager of Mallouppas & Papacostas Group, managing the marketing activities of eight high street fashion brands and the FOUR DAY CLEARANCE. Prior to joining the M&P Group, Anna worked and travelled extensively in the Middle East through her employment at interFRONTIERS and ACNielsen in positions related to marketing, sales & client service.
Maria Zachariou Dodou
Maria Zachariou Dodou has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University College of London, an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineer “Water and Waste Engineering” from the University of Loughborough-UK, and a Ph.D in Chemical Engineer “Management of Industrial Wastewaters” at Metsovio Polytechion Greece. She is specialized in water and wastes water management, solid waste management and implementation of environmental aqui. After graduation she has been employed by the Water Development Department Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment as an executive engineer, from where she has recently retired, as a Chief Water Engineer –Assistant Water Director. She has more than 30 years’ experience in Water and wastewater Management including planning and design of utilization of Water Resources in conjunction with water engineering structures and the Implementation of the European legislation related to Waste, Water and Urban Wastewaters Directives. Since 2012 she has been appointed a permanent Member of the Environmental Impact Assessment Committee at the Ministry of Rural Development and Environment, Department of Environment. In parallel since 2011 she has been appointed as Chairwoman of the Institute of Environment and Sustainable development.
Eleni is a creative consultant with expertise in branding and corporate communication. She has received her BA Hons Degree in Communications and Graphic Arts from Middlesex University in the UK. She has worked on international and local accounts mainly in the areas of retail, telecommunications and the financial sector. She is an alumni member of International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on “Invest for the Future-Advancing Women as Business Leaders”.
Kitsa has a Diploma of Teaching Piano and Theory of Music from the Greek Concervatory of Athens. She worked for 43 years in the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation.She was involved mainly with production of Classical Music Programs. while, she passed through all the steps of the program functions, she was assigned the administrative duties of Radio and Music Programs (for 4 radio channels). She is now retired.
Zoe is a graduate of the English School and obtained her teaching Degree from the Gymnastic Academy of Athens, and a Master’s in Sociology of Sport and Sports Management from the University of Leicester, England.
She was a Physical Education Teacher in Public Schools until 2009 when she became Headmistress at Makedonitissa Gymnasium.
Marina is the Marketing Director of LINEA MARINA Fashion House. Her company designs, producers, exports to EU & Switzerland and sells at the local market at their own stores in Nicosia, under the name of ”LINEA MARINA”. She studied in USA, where she obtained both her BSc (Hon) in Business Administration and her MBA (Hon) in International Finance. She was a Fulbright scholar throughout her Master Degree. In 2015, the Zonta club of Athens, Greece honored Marina for her long contribution towards the Zonta Clubs of Area 4, District 14, of the International ZONTA.
Yiannoula Savidou served for several years as the Head of the Clerical Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.She also served as the Personal Assistant to the Director of the Protocol Division of the Ministry. She was decorated by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Karolos Papoulias, with the Silver Cross Award of the Order of the Phoenix (Dec 2005).She also awarded twice with the ”Secretary Award’ in recognition of her outstanding service by the Lions International.
Maria is in the Banking Sector with many years of experience. She works at Bank of Cyprus and has held different positions such as Branch Manager and Head of the Department of Advances Executions. She is specializing in Consumer Lending and debt restructuring, and for 9 years she was handling the inspection of the banks legal documents produced for facilities and securities, updated with current legislation. She has been a Part Time Trainer from 2001 to 2013, organizing seminars on lending issues. She is currently a Senior Officer in the Organization and Methods Department at Bank of Cyprus. She is a graduate of CCBC Essex USA, ACIB and American Academy Nicosia.
Angela is a Director of TKS Design & Construction Ltd where she is the office manager and leads on PR and client relations. Angela originally began in the Travel industry before becoming office manager of K. Tsolakis and Associates Architects in Melbourne, Australia. After moving to Cyprus in 1993 she worked in the Public Relations department of PricewaterhouseCoopers for 10 years before joining the family construction and architectural business.
